We are happy to announce that the Physio Pool FUNdraising Dance held in June has raised $29,000. This is a fantastic achievement and a huge boost to the fundraising total. Thank you Barbara Anderson for your amazing effort in organising the dance and thank you to everyone who attended or contributed. It has been a fantastic community effort to help save the pool and it is greatly appreciated!
Hannah, who shared her story in one of our videos, has come a long way in her rehabilitation. When she started her rehabilitation in the Physio Pool she needed the hoist to get her into the water and had her arms and legs moved for her. She then progressed to using a buoyancy aid, to kicking with a board and to swimming while using a mask and snorkel. On her 26th birthday she she swam (with some rests) 26 lengths of the pool! You can read the full ODT article about the progress Hannah’s is making in and out of the pool here.
